Getting around

How to get to the Wrocław from the Airport

Once you arrive at the Wroclaw Airport, the suggested method of transportation is to take Bus Number 106, which goes to and from the airport every 20 minutes, to take you to the Central Railway/Bus Station. From there you may take one of the many busses, or a taxi, to get you to your hotel. The night bus, Number 206, operates on the same route. For a detailed timetable, you may visit their website at www.wroclaw.pl/rozklady-jazdy .

You may also travel to and from the airport, as well as around Wroclaw, by taxi. Please keep in mind that licensed taxis need to have a roof top sign with the word “taxi” and the word “Wrocław” plus the side number on the side doors and the price-list stuck to the window. They need to be equipped with a taximeter and a fiscal cash register.

Wroclaw’s public transportation system is rather extensive and simple to use, with 120 bus lines, and 23 tram lines. It is important to note that while purchasing your fair at a ticket machine prior to boarding you may use cash or coins, once onboard, only credit cards are accepted. Also please keep in mind that tickets are not valid until you stamp them once inside the bus or train. If you fail to do so, you will be fined.
