The technical tour is taking place on the morning of Friday 1st July 2011. You will be visiting the National Control Centre in EirGrid (Irish Transmission System Operator). In addition to a tour of the center, you will also see demonstrations of a customized software tool that has been developed to help operators manage the system challenges associated with the high penetration of wind power on the Irish system.
